Hotel & Accommodations

1) When is check-in/check-out at the Mauna Lani Auberge?
Check-in is at 3PM. Check-out is at 12PM. You may ask for a late checkout on the day of departure and will be granted based on availability.

2) What is Run-of-House with the hotel block at Mauna Lani Auberge?
A discounted, but random selection of what is available including Mountain View, Garden View, Partial Ocean View and/or Ocean View rooms with either (1) king size bed or (2) queen size beds.

3) What fees are waived and what are not with reserving at the hotel block?
The daily resort fee of $60.00 is waived as well as the $40 daily self parking fee. There is a mandatory porterage fee (for luggage) of $6.50 per person and a mandatory room attendant fee $5.00 (turn down service).

4) When is the deadline for the hotel block reservation at Mauna Lani Auberge?
Please reserve your room by July 6, 2026 August 10, 2026.

5) When is the last day to cancel the hotel block reservation at the Mauna Lani without a penalty?
An individual's deposit is refundable if the resort receives 30 days prior notice to the scheduled arrival.

6) What special requests can we make with hotel reservations at Mauna Lani Auberge by emailing ?
You can guarantee either double queen or single King rooms by paying $100 + taxes/fees per night. You can request connecting rooms with another reservation for $100 + taxes/fees per night. You can include an additional adult in your room to get another wristband for $150 + tax/fees per night. You can request a rollaway bed (twin).

Transportation & Logistics

7) What is going on with Iron Man on the wedding day ?
Ironman World Championship events will be taking place on the island throughout the weekend, including race activity and road closures along Highway 19 on the wedding day. We recommend staying near the Mauna Lani and allowing extra travel time when planning transportation around the island.

8) Will transportation be provided?
Scheduling a minivan taxi ($146) or SUV ($277.66) is possible by providing the Mauna Lani flight details such as airline carrier, flight number, arrival and departure times. Transportation will not be provided at this time for wedding events. It was important to us to pick a venue that minimized shuttle logistics.

9) What time should I arrive at the venue?
Ceremony starts promptly at 5pm, please arrive beforehand by 4:50pm to be seated by 5pm.

10) Is there parking at the venue?
Yes. There is valet and self parking. If you are staying with the resort in the hotel block, the daily $40.00 self parking fee is waived. If you are not staying at the resort, daily self parking is $40.

Wedding Details

11) When is the RSVP deadline?
August 10th, 2026.

12) Can I bring a plus one or a date?
If a plus one has been included for you, it will be reflected on your invitation with multiple invite tokens. We appreciate your understanding as we are unable to accommodate guests beyond those that have been listed. Please feel free to reach out if you have any questions.

13) Will the event be indoors or outdoors?
The ceremony will be on the lawn/sand, cocktail hour on the sand, and reception will be on the lawn. The afterparty will be indoors.

14) Are kids welcome?
Kids are welcome! We kindly ask that children under 5 not attend the ceremony. On-site nanny services from Malihini Keiki Care are something we could coordinate with you on, please reach out to discuss further as others may be interested as well. The rates are $36 for up to 2 children plus a $25 travel fee. $6 for each additional child.

15) Will there be an open bar?
Yes! We will have an open bar for cocktail hour and the reception. We will transition to beers and hard seltzers for the after-party.

16) Are the ceremony, reception and after party wheelchair accessible?
The wedding events at Mauna Lani, Auberge Resorts Collection are wheelchair accessible. Please reach out to us if you have any specific accessibility needs or questions and we’ll be happy to help.

17) What's the weather like in October?
October on the Big Island is typically warm, sunny, and breezy, with daytime temperatures in the low-to-mid 80s and cooler evenings near the water. We recommend light resort wear, sunscreen, and a light layer for the evenings.
